April 2015 sees three BCC-sponsored conferences promising lots of interesting combinatorics!
Postgraduate Combinatorics Conference
The Postgraduate Combinatorics Conference will be held at Queen Mary, University of London, 13–15 April. The webpage is here.
The invited speakers are Imre Leader, Peter Cameron and Julia Wolf. But, as usual with the PCC, the invited speakers are not the main thing: this is a conference organsed by students for students, and generations of students have said how they found the interactions with fellow-students the most valuable part.
There are still places at the conference, although the early-bird tickets have all sold out. This conference is highly recommended to postgraduate students in combinatorics, so do consider going if you haven’t registered yet. There are currently 32 registered delegates.
Oxford Algorithms Day
The Oxford Algorithms Day takes place on 15 April. The speakers are Graham Cormode, Benjamin Doerr, Thomas Sauerwald, Steven Kelk, Rahul Savani, Mark Jerrum, and Claire Mathieu. Their titles are listed on the web page here.
There is no registration fee, but if you are going, you are asked to email Laura Marmor to put your name on the list: a link is provided on the web page.
Scottish Combinatorics Meeting
Something for those of us north of the border (and visitors from the south!)
This meeting takes place on 29 and 30 April in Glasgow. The speakers are David Manlove, Sergey Kitaev, Peter Cameron, Alex Scott, Mark Jerrum, Keith Edwards, Mary Cryan, and Andrew Treglown. Their titles and abstracts are available from the web page here.
Again, attendance is free, but you are asked to register by the end of March; a link is provided on the web page.
And more …
Looking ahead, we have the two London one-day colloquia on 13 and 14 May, and of course the 25th British Combinatorial Conference at the University of Warwick from 6 to 10 July. (The deadline for early bird registration at the BCC is the end of April, so why not register now and not risk missing the date?)
See the BCC conference list for many more conferences in April and beyond.
